CERATIZIT has recently been represented in Latin America by its own sales office. Managing Director Harald Egger expects great opportunities.
For a few months CERATIZIT has been operating its own branch in Latin America. The new office is based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Harald Egger and his team of more than ten experts focus on solutions in the field of wear protection as well as on certain segments of the cutting tool industry.
Brazil is not only the biggest exporter of soy beans, sugar cane, coffee, tobacco, meat and orange juice, but is also top ranking in the automotive industry (in South America twice as many cars are manufactured than in Italy), and in high-tech aircraft construction. CERATIZIT America Latina has made it their job to extend the know-how of the entire group in these areas.
The main focus in the Cutting Tool sector is therefore in the automotive industry, heavy machining and aerospace industry. In the Wear Part industry, through research and cooperation with machine manufacturers and state universities, CERATIZIT plans to promote the application of carbide in the agriculture and food industry rather than conventional materials such as steel and cast iron. Other important Wear Part sectors will be wood machining, tool and die industry and cold forming.
