The carbide specialist CERATIZIT plans to centralize its sales organization for Germany in Horb, Germany |

CERATIZIT creates competence centers in order to enhance customer value and intends to bundle its German sales organization in its newly extended production location in Horb.
With this centralization and the proximity to the production, particularly in the industrial wear parts business unit, we can realize high synergy effects. The customer will benefit through shorter communication ways, a better service and a single partner.
Jacques Lanners, Spokesman of the Executive Board of CERATIZIT S.A., explains why: „Our customers look for better service and more efficient solutions at an ever faster pace. Good products are not enough for success, good service and technical advises become more and more an important factor in competition. The severe deterioration of the economy has speeded up the need for change”.
The current sales offices, Langenfeld and Dettingen, will be closed and the activities will be transferred in the new facility of CERATIZIT Horb. Discussions with the affected staff and the union have started in order to find the best possible options for new job opportunities within the Group or, if otherwise not possible, acceptable severance packages.
The external sales force in Germany is not affected by the changes.
The transfer into the new facility in Empfingen should be completed by July 2009.
