an intelligent alternative to the Maltese insert

Every tooling expert knows the Maltese cutting inserts, named after their shape that resembles a Maltese cross. In order to be able to grind them without problems, most of these inserts do not have a chip groove. This however deteriorates chip evacuation and causes high cutting forces. And unfortunately this is not the only disadvantage of the product.

CombiEdge wird als Standardprogramm angelegt und ist in zwei Baugrößen erhältlich. Die Wendeschneidplatten sind standardmäßig mit der HyperCoat-Sorte CTC1130 beschichtet. Für die Herstellung von Kugellagerringen dürfte diese intelligente Alternative zur Malteserplatte wegweisend sein.
