At IMTS 2018, we’ll present not only customer- and project-specific solutions and digital products, but also our extensive standard portfolio of powerful milling, turning, drilling, reaming and threading tools. This will include several new developments from the competence brands Cutting Solutions by CERATIZIT, KOMET as well as KLENK, that help make machining especially efficient.
Double sided 90° shoulder milling system
The MaxiMill 491 features 8 usable cutting edges per insert and shows excellent performance, quality and price-performance ratio. Thanks to the latest grinding technology, the precision inserts can be produced with tolerance H. This enhances the service life of the cutting edge, allowing top-quality surfaces to be achieved on your component.
A New Dimension of High-Feed Milling
In order to meet our customers’ requirements of ever higher feed rates, and consequently reduced machining times, our existing Maximill HFC system has been extended by insert size 19. With the new HFC-19 system up to 83% greater depths of cut and 150% higher feed rates are possible.
Parting and Grooving System with Direct Cooling
Our proven SX parting and grooving system with one cutting edge is now also available with a targeted internal coolant supply (DirectCooling – DC). The coolant is now transported through two coolant holes (one is above and one is below the parting and grooving insert) to exactly the point where the greatest effect is achieved, namely on the cutting edge.
Indexable insert reaming tool
Indexable insert technology has revolutionized reaming with multiple cutting edge reamers and has set new standards in terms of cost efficiency and functionality. KOMET Freemax has 3 cutting edges per insert, making handling for the user extremely flexible.
HPC PCD Milling Cutter
3D Printed Tools- Allows increased productivity alongside greater design freedom that conventional methods are restricted by. These tools feature optimized cooling channel design for improved chip evacuation and more effective cooling.
ToolScope Firmware V11
Assistance and process-monitoring system
The Toolscope system is based on the latest technology in the field of process and machine monitoring. Using a special, patented method for statistical process control, it is possible to not only monitor tool breakage but also to observer significantly lower manufacturing deviations. The system provides a method for quality control that has never been seen before.
KLENK customized special tools
