Chemicals management in accordance with REACH

    Chemicals management

Our chemicals management is based on the European chemicals Regulation REACH (EC Regulation Number 1907/2006). This stands for "Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals”. It regulates the four above processes,Thereby protecting people and the environment from risks that may be associated with chemicals. In practice, this means that any substance of which more than 1 tonne is produced in or imported into the EU must be registered with the European Chemicals Agency by 2018 at the latest.

We comply with REACH

We take all the necessary steps to meet the requirements of REACH. Our products, for example, do not contain any substances which are classed as particular causes for concern by the European Chemicals Agency and which appear on the SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) list. Although we do not expect that substances we use will be added to the list in future, we will inform you immediately if this does prove to be the case, in accordance with Article 33 of the REACH Regulation.

Product information data sheets

Our carbide products are not classed as substances or preparations within the meaning of Article 3 of the REACH Regulation.  Although this means we are not obliged to draw up a safety data sheet in accordance with Article 31 of REACH, we still want to offer you the greatest possible transparency and strengthen your confidence in our products. You can download the product information data sheets below:
