SX parting and grooving system – now with DirectCooling (DC)
Cutting edge cooling in a nutshell
Our proven SX parting and grooving system with one cutting edge is now also available with a targeted internal coolant supply (DirectCooling – DC). The SX-DC blades transport coolant directly to the cutting edge, though coolant holes located above and below the insert, achieving maximized chip evacuation. The transport of the coolant to the cutting edge is carried out by means of specifically developed DC clamping blocks. The use of DirectCooling enables significantly improved machining results even at minimum pressures.
Secure and precise parting and grooving processes
In system SX the insert is self-clamping and fixed with maximum clamping force on the parallel insert seating faces. This prevents the insert from shifting from its position and guarantees a very precise positioning of the cutting edge. The excellent stability makes longitudinal turning possible.
Low downtime thanks to quick insert change
Active clamping of the insert ensures both easy handling and a quick insert change. In this way downtimes are kept at a minimum.
